The Jubilee Logo
The Jubilee logo shows four stylized figures, representing all of humanity, coming from the four corners of the earth. They embrace each other to indicate the solidarity and fraternity which should unite all peoples. The figure at the front is holding onto the cross. It is not only the sign of the faith which this lead figure embraces, but also of hope, which can never be abandoned, because we are always in need of hope, especially in our moments of greatest need.
The anchor is well known as a symbol of hope. In maritime jargon the ‘anchor of hope’ refers to the reserve anchor used by vessels involved in emergency manoeuvres to stabilise the ship during storms. It is worth noting that the image illustrates the pilgrim’s journey not as an individual undertaking, but rather as something communal, marked by an increasing dynamism leading one ever closer to the cross.
Ireland in Rome Jubilee Map
From the early missionaries in the 6th and 8th centuries, to medieval travellers and scholars, fleeing earls, exiled bishops, priests, monks and nuns, and of course, pilgrims, Rome and its churches have been a destination for Irish people throughout the centuries.
Those links remain as strong as ever today. To mark these connections in this Jubilee year, the Pontifical Irish College along with other significatnt sites of Irish interest, have partnered with the Irish Embassy to the Holy See to produce an Irish Pilgrims Map of Rome.

Jubilee Calendar of Events 2025
The Jubilee year is celebrated with a variety of events all throughout the year with different religious and apostolic groups celebrated each week. See below the outline of events for 2025.
Holy Door Registration
A significant feature of the Jubilee year is the opening of the Holy Doors at each of the Papal Basilicas. In oder to enter through the Holy Doors as a group, registration must be completed on the Jubilee website.
Registrations are now open for pilgrimages to the Holy Doors of the four Papal Basilicas in Rome via www.iubilaeum2025.va
The Pilgrims Card
The Pilgrims Card is a free digital pass bearing the name of the holder, which will be needed to take part in the main Jubilee events and to organise a pilgrimage to the Holy Door.
The card can only be obtained by signing up at the portal, which will be available on the website register.iubilaeum2025.va/user or via the official Jubilee App for smartphones. After entering the required details, the pilgrim will receive a unique QR code and a personalised account on the app.
